Pope Francis message to Canadian youth and Salt + Light TV Canadian Youth Forum

Canada Youth Forum panelSalt + Light TV has organized a National Youth Forum in preparation for the upcoming Synod of Bishops on the theme "Youth, Faith and Vocational Discernment" which will be broadcast on 22 October 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in English and at 9 p.m. in French. This televised forum includes the participation of Pope Francis in a video message addressed to young people in Canada. Taped this past 10 October in the Salt + Light Catholic Media Broadcast Centre in Toronto, the 90-minute program included the presence of His Eminence Kevin Cardinal Farrell, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Laity, the Family and Life, as well as His Eminence Gérald Cyprien Cardinal Lacroix, Archbishop of Quebec and Primate of Canada, which was live from Quebec City.

Also, several groups of young people participated from different cities across Canada, including Vancouver, Calgary, Windsor, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City. The Holy See will make public the video message and the text of the Holy Father on 22 October.
